  • How do I schedule a tour and what are your screening criteria?

    Tours are by appointment to ensure personal attention and resident privacy at our Haywood County community, convenient to Maggie Valley and Waynesville. Applicants must have a 620+ credit score, clean rental history, and a combined gross monthly income of at least three times the rent. Click "Contact Us" or call (828) 507-0666 to schedule.

  • How do I apply, and what is the screening fee?

    Click the Apply Now button on our website. Each adult (18+) must submit a separate application. There is a non-refundable $49.90 screening fee per applicant, processed by TransUnion for background and credit checks. Please upload your ID, your last three pay stubs, and any animal vet records. Most decisions are made within 3–5 business days.

  • Do you accept co-signers or guarantors?

    Yes, co-signers are accepted if they are US residents, do not live in the unit, and have a gross monthly income of at least four times the rent. Co-signers follow the same online application process and screening criteria as residents.

  • What are the requirements to move in?

    Move-in requires the first month’s rent, a $750 security deposit (both must be cleared before move-in), proof of an active Haywood Electric account, proof of $100,000 renter’s insurance listing Fox Run Apartments LLC as an "interested party," and an emergency contact who does not live in the unit.

  • What happens if my application is denied?

    If your application is not approved, you will be notified by email. You may request a brief explanation of the decision.

  • What types of units are available and what features are included?

    We offer fully renovated one- and two-bedroom apartments with modern, open- concept layouts. Each unit includes new flooring, kitchen cabinets, countertops, appliances, and updated heating/cooling systems. Every apartment has a brand- new in-unit washer and dryer. Our apartments are located in Haywood County, convenient to Maggie Valley, Waynesville, and Asheville.

  • What utilities, services, and features are included in rent?

    Rent covers municipal water, sewer, trash, quarterly pest control, and free parking for residents. Every apartment includes a brand-new in-unit washer and dryer. Residents pay for their own electricity and select their preferred internet and cable provider—hookups are ready in every unit.

  • What is your animal policy?

    Up to two animals are welcome per unit with prior written approval. A $150 non-refundable animal fee and $25 monthly animal rent apply. Standard breed and weight restrictions apply; however, these do not apply to verified assistance animals. Please contact management for specific details.

  • What are your smoking and fire safety policies?

    Fox Run is a 100% smoke-free community, both inside apartments and throughout the property. Charcoal/gas grills, smokers, and fire pits are not permitted on balconies or within ten feet of any building.

  • What are your quiet hours?

    Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. daily. Please be considerate of your neighbors during these times.

  • How does parking work?

    Parking is free. Each unit has one assigned space, with overflow parking available for a second registered vehicle. RVs, boats, trailers, campers, jet skis, and commercial vehicles are not permitted on the property.

  • How do I receive mail and packages?

    Mail is delivered to on-site mailboxes, and large packages are typically delivered directly to your apartment door. Please note that Fox Run Apartments does not have an on-site office and is not responsible for any lost or stolen mail or packages. For added security, consider using delivery services that offer tracking or require a signature.

  • Can I have guests?

    Yes, guests are permitted. Some rules and regulations apply, including limits on length of stay and visitor vehicles. Please refer to your lease or contact management for details.

  • How do I access my tenant portal?

    You can log in to your secure tenant portal at https://foxrunapartments.app.doorloop.com/ to pay rent, view your lease, submit maintenance requests, and update your information. No app download is required, but the DoorLoop app is available for added convenience and push notifications. The portal can be switched to Spanish for accessibility.

  • Can I use the DoorLoop app on my phone?

    Yes, the DoorLoop app is available for both iOS and Android, allowing you to access your tenant portal, pay rent, and submit maintenance requests from your mobile device.

  • Is my information secure in the DoorLoop portal?

    Yes, DoorLoop uses industry-standard encryption and security protocols to protect your personal and payment information.

  • How do I pay rent and manage my lease?

    All payments and lease management are handled through your secure 24/7 tenant portal. ACH/eCheck payments are free; credit/debit card payments incur a processing fee. Autopay is available. Rent is due on the 1st, with late fees applied after a short grace period. You will receive payment reminders and confirmations by email.

  • How do I submit maintenance requests or update my information?

    Use the tenant portal to submit maintenance requests (with photos if possible) or update your contact information. Routine repairs are typically addressed within 48–72 hours. For life-safety emergencies, call 911. For urgent property issues (such as flooding, gas leaks, or loss of heat in freezing weather), call (828) 507- 0666 directly. You’ll receive updates and notifications as your request is processed and completed.

  • Will I get notifications from DoorLoop?

    Yes, you will receive payment reminders, maintenance updates, and other important notifications by email and/or through the app.

  • Can another person have portal access for my lease?

    If someone else needs access, they must complete an application, pay the screening fee, and be approved as an additional tenant before they can access the portal for your lease. Contact management for assistance.

  • What are the move-in and move-out procedures?

    We conduct a walkthrough with you at move-in and move-out to document the apartment’s condition. Please use the portal or contact management to schedule your move-out inspection.

  • Is renters insurance required?

    Yes, you must maintain a $100,000 liability policy with Fox Run Apartments LLC listed as an "interested party" throughout your lease. If you have an animal, your renters insurance policy must include coverage for animal-related incidents (such as dog bites or pet liability) and cannot exclude your animal or its breed. Proof of this coverage is required before move-in and must be maintained for the duration of your lease.

  • Do you follow fair housing laws?

    Yes, Fox Run Apartments is an equal housing opportunity provider. We do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or familial status.

  • Do I need to provide an emergency contact?

    Yes, all residents must provide an emergency contact who does not live in the apartment.
